The OPTIONS Program at Brehm operates on a team concept. Each OPTIONS staff member is an integral part of the team, and each member of the team brings a unique perspective as to the development of the students. There are daily communications between the academic, independent living, therapeutic and administrative staffs. The nursing staff is easily accessible, as is the Brehm administrative and office support staff. The entire OPTIONS Team participates in a weekly team meeting where insights are shared as to what strategies are working well for the students, discussion is held concerning areas of difficulty, and solutions are formulated. The level of communication and interaction, when combined with the experience, nurturing, and compassion of the staff, provides a strong basis that fosters student growth and success.
