About the OPTIONS Program

OPTIONS (Optimizing Potential Through Individualized, On-going, Nurtured Successes) Program at Brehm is a comprehensive transitional program for students with learning disabilities who have graduated from high school, earned their GED, or who have chosen to defer graduation in order to participate in a transitional program.  OPTIONS instructional programming includes academic classes offered by OPTIONS faculty, instruction in employment readiness, community college experiences, internship experiences and Speech/Language therapy.  The Independent Living Program at OPTIONS encompasses many facets of daily living and adult life.  OPTIONS operates on a holistic model, taking into account each student's medical, social and emotional needs as well as their academic, employment and independent living goals.  OPTIONS' evolution and growth is based on student need identified by parents and students at Brehm Preparatory School, our "parent program."  Since its inception, in 1989, OPTIONS has developed programs and continually enhanced services for post-secondary students with learning disabilities; that commitment to quality service continues today.  Our goals are outcome based, focusing on strategies and resources students must use to maximize and optimize their potential, actualizing our Mission Statement. We are proud of our Program, our students and our alumni. We invite you to learn more about the OPTIONS Program at Brehm.
